The best fast food restaurant in the South has added new items to its menu. Chick-fil-A is a staple in fast food across the South. Personally, it is one of my favorite places to eat in America. I eat Chick-fil-A at least once a week, at the very minimum. Chick-fil-A adds seasonal milkshakes, such as the peppermint milkshake in the winter, and the autumn spice milkshake in the fall. However, rarely does Chick-fil-A add new items to their menu, but on Aug. 28, Chick-fil-A added the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. Additionally, they added the Caramel Crumble milkshake to its fall lineup.
Of course, I rushed over to Chick-fil-A to try their new additions. The Pimento sandwich can be a regular or spicy chicken meal. I prefer the spicy chicken sandwich, so I chose the spicy option. After my first glance at the sandwich, I knew it was going to be messy. The pimento was dripping off of the edges of the sandwich and was making the bun soggy. The pimento cheese is layered at the top of the chicken, and there are a few spicy jalapenos below the chicken. The first bite of the sandwich was great. There was a creamier consistency due to the pimento rather than the plain sandwich. The pimento immediately started spilling off of the sandwich and onto my napkins. I delicately ate the rest of the sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, but I would not eat it in my car or on a road trip, because of how messy it is. Junior Michael Memar also ate the pimento sandwich and said, “I liked the sandwich, but it was annoying how messy it was.” The pimento is also much more filling in your stomach than the normal sandwich. The Honey Pepper Pimento is delicious, but I would not substitute it for my usual spicy chicken sandwich meal. However, if I wanted something different; I would definitely get the pimento sandwich.
The other new addition to the fall menu for Chick-fil-A was the Caramel Crumble milkshake. The milkshake has a butterscotch undertone but tastes very similar to the vanilla milkshake. However, the big twist with this milkshake is the crunch that it offers. There are blondie crumbles sprinkled into the milkshake, that add crunch to the milkshake. Unfortunately, I like a milkshake to be consistent and did not appreciate the foreign crunch.
Chick-fil-A is a great restaurant, and I hope they keep adding new amazing items to their already star-studded menu.
