Bowen Eagleson has been a vital part of the Pace Community since 2017, acting as the Administrative Assistant to student life. Mrs. Eagleson was also a Pace Academy mom and her daughter, Mclean Eagleson, graduated in 2022 and is now at the University of Georgia. “Walking into Pace and being greeted with Mrs. Eagleson’s warm smile always made my day better,” said junior Syndey Gaither. Everyone knew Mrs. Eagleson as the smiling face who greeted students every morning and was always up to hear about anyone’s day.

“Pace first intrigued me because it reminded me so much of the high school that I attended in North Carolina,” said Mrs. Eagleson. “I worked in the Atlanta public school system for 8 years before coming to Pace and was curious about what it would be like to work in a private school setting.”

Mrs. Eagleson got to know all the information and hear about everything at Pace with her prime seat right at the entrance to the Upper School. She mentioned her most memorable moment at Pace. “On one particular morning, a group of senior boys were having a very “spirited” conversation in the Commons. Usually, I could just tune it out but this time the language was just a little too salty, even for me!  Much to their surprise and horror I stormed into the Commons, wagged my finger in their faces and threatened to call their mothers if they didn’t clean up their act!” As such a central part of the Pace community, Mrs. Eagleson got to experience every part of what makes going to school at Pace so great. “To a fault, the students, teachers, staff and coaches at Pace are all down to earth, friendly and genuine,” she said. Reflecting on her time at Pace, she advised new students and faculty. “Pace students, teachers and staff are all afforded an incredible amount of personal autonomy in the high school that should be used to take the time and energy to figure out who you really are and then lean into it with all your might.”
