Lilo & Stitch: This live-action, animated mix brings the Disney classic to life and comes to theaters on May 23. Like the original, Lilo & Stitch follows a girl named Lilo and her bond with a dog-like alien named Stitch, who, along the way, creates mischief.

Mission Impossible – Final reckoning: Tom Cruise, the star of the Mission: Impossible franchise, makes his final appearance as Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent, a fictional US agency for special operatives. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is the second movie in a two-part series. The plot has not been revealed, but the movie is highly anticipated.

Karate Kid: Legends: Karate Kid: Legends takes place three years after Cobra Kai and is the sixth film in the series. The movie attempts to merge the TV show and the movie franchise into the same universe. Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio both resume their roles as Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso, respectively.

How to Train Your Dragon: This live-action, long-awaited movie recreates the childhood favorite How to Train Your Dragon. The original was so popular that Netflix and Dreamworks created multiple movies and a TV show that expanded the story of Viking Hiccup and his relationship with his forbidden dragon, Toothless. This movie will recreate the original film that brought it fame and combine it with some of the most popular elements from the TV show and sequels. Mason Thames, the main character in The Black Phone, stars as Hiccup.  

June 13

Elio: This new animated Disney movie features a young boy who struggles to fit in on Earth and accidentally beams himself up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary group. Elio is mistaken for Earth’s ambassador and starts to make friends with aliens. Some of the cast include Zoe Saldaña, Brad Garrett and Yonas Ascunsion Kibreab. 

June 20

M3gan 2.0: This sequel to M3gan takes place two years after the events of the first movie. Gemma, the creator of M3gan, a highly advanced form of AI, has become an advocate for AI regulation and locked M3gan inside a robotic doll. However, M3gan’s technology was stolen to develop a military robot called Amelia. Amelia turns on her creators, forcing Gemma to rebuild M3gan with advanced updates to take Amelia down. The same cast will return with the addition of Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno as Amelia. 

June 27

F1: Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayse, a retired Formula 1 driver. Hayse was Formula 1’s most promising driver in the 1990s until a severe accident. Thirty years later, a struggling F1 owner and friend of Hayse convinces him to mentor their rising rookie Joshua “Noah” Pearce. All the F1 drivers and their teams from the 2023 season will also appear as themselves in the film. The movie is set to come out on June 27.

Jurassic World Rebirth: The movie takes place five years after Jurassic World Dominion, and Earth’s climate has been determined as mostly uninhabitable for dinosaurs, with a few living on remote islands. Zora Bennett, played by Scarlett Johansson, leads a team to the restricted former island of the original Jurassic Park to locate and gather DNA from the largest species from land, sea, and air. Their DNA holds medical properties that can help create a groundbreaking pharmaceutical drug. Both the team and the family they meet get stranded on the island. Along with Scarlet Johnson, the film features Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. 

July 2

Superman: Clark Kent, Superman, is played by David Corenswet, who is about 25 years old in the film. Kent hides his identity as a superhero with a day job as a journalist for the Daily Planet in Metropolis. Kent’s love interest is Lois Lane, who Rachel Brosnahan plays. The movie is set to release on July 11th.

July 11

Smurfs: Rihanna, John Goodman, James Corden, Nick Offerman, Sandra Oh and Octavia Spencer take on this new Smurfs movie. In the animated film, Papa Smurf, played by John Goodman, is taken by Razamel and Gargamel, evil brother wizards. Smurffette, voiced by Rihanna, leads the mission to save Papa Smurf. Smurfs is scheduled to be released on July 18th. 

July 18

The Fantastic Four: First Steps: Disney is releasing a new Marvel movie this summer! The Fantastic Four: First Steps takes place in the 1960s with four superheroes, the Fantastic Four, trying to stop Galactus from consuming Earth. Pedro Pascal is Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby plays Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn is Human Torch/Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is The Thing/Ben Grimm.

The Bad Guys 2: This sequel to the very popular first movie, Bad Guys, is set to be released Aug 2. In Bad Guys 2, Mr. Wolf, who heads a criminal crew, attempts to reform his group into upstanding citizens after being caught. However, Mr. Wolf returns to his previous ways to help stop a rising villain.
