Dear Granny Knight,
I am having an issue with science. I feel like I don’t have enough time to study, and it’s only the beginning of the year! I don’t know how to keep up! I’m worried that if I make anymore bad grades, my parents will be SUPER mad! Please help me!

Hello Long Lost Learner,
Granny Knight is here to save you from the foul science apocalypse. You might need to practice some new habits so that you aren’t only studying right before the test. Pick a time and place that you know will work. Study for 15-30 minutes at a time (depending on your attention span). Then, take a 5 minute break. This will ensure that when you go for your next round of studying, your attention and marbles will all be in one place.
Also make sure the place you choose to study fits your needs. An example might be a room that is well lit and has no distractions like dogs, electronics or even excess school supplies that serve no purpose. Make sure you are writing on a solid surface like a table. Sit somewhere with good support like a chair – not in your bed, and not in the middle of your younger siblings play date! A safe and quiet place will keep you from losing your marbles.
Yours Truly,
