With fall beginning, some new shows and movies will be joining new seasons of already loved shows. TV shows will start coming out the week after Labor Day weekend and be released on their respective days in the following weeks. One new,\u00a0 highly anticipated release is \u201cThe Office\u201d spinoff, \u201cThe Paper\u201d.\u00a0 Also, a lot of popular shows got renewed for more seasons. Theaters will see exciting new films, some continuing series, and others brand new.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Paper\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea for \u201cThe Paper\u201d comes from the beloved sitcom \u201cThe Office\u201d. The only returning character is Oscar, played by Oscar Nunez. The show follows the same documentary crew that filmed Dunder Mifflin, but focuses on a mid-west newspaper, called the \u201cToledo Truth-Teller\u201d. The crew follows the editor-in-chief as he tries to save the struggling paper with his team. The entire 10 episodes came out on September 4th as a completed first season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFive Nights At Freddy\u2019s 2\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second movie in the \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s\u201d franchise, \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2\u201d will be released this winter, on Dec. 5, 2025. The movies are based on the game \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s\u201d, a survival-horror video game which features a variety of animatronic characters, all aiming to kill the player\u2019s avatar. The movies explore the relationship between the player\u2019s avatar, Mike Schimdt, and the main animatronic named Freddy Fazbear, along with the other animatronic characters and Mike\u2019s family. \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2\u201d will continue the storyline of the first movie, picking up after a year has passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDownton Abbey Grand Finale\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grand finale of the beloved series \u201cDownton Abbey\u201d began playing in theaters on Sept. 12, 2025. The movie reaches just over two hours and has been rated a pleasure to watch. Directed by Simon Curtis, \u201cDownton Abbey Grand Finale\u201d features the classic cast with a few special additions, as the Crawley family continues to navigate life in twentieth-century British society. Loyal \u201cDownton\u201d viewers, both old and new, will get closure, and hopefully a satisfactory end to the series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hit Hulu show came back with its fifth season on September 9th, starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. The trio continues to investigate suspicious deaths in their apartment building set in New York City. This season is sure to be nothing short of amazing, given how wonderful the past four seasons have been. The only true question is if this will be the last season. \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d will drop every Tuesday for a total of ten episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTron: Ares\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTron: Ares\u201d stars Jared Leto as Ares, an advanced program that transcends the digital world of the computer and embarks on a mission in the human world. As the third film in the \u201cTron\u201d series, \u201cTron: Ares\u201d is written as a sequel to \u201cTron: Legacy\u201d, which came out in 2010. However, \u201cTron: Ares\u201d focuses on a new cast of characters, along with Ares, and how they manage the collision of the physical world with the world of artificial intelligence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHigh Potential\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another hit Hulu show came back for its second season after finding such a fan base last year. \u201cHigh Potential\u201d follows Morgan Gillery, a mom with an 160 IQ, as she helps the LAPD solve crimes. The show dropped on the 16th of September and continues to run for a total of 18 episodes, an increase from the 13 episodes in season one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople We Meet On Vacation\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople We Meet On Vacation\u201d is a highly anticipated film, as the story is based on Emily Henry\u2019s novel \u201cPeople We Meet On Vacation\u201d. Henry\u2019s novel, a beach-read summer romance, earned abundant praise and even made the New York Times<\/em> bestseller list. Therefore, it goes without saying that fans of the \u201cPeople We Meet On Vacation\u201d book are anxiously awaiting the movie, which is scheduled to be released next year, on Jan. 9, 2026. Starring Emily Bader as Poppy and Tom Blyth as Alex, the movie is projected to be a big success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNobody Wants This\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNobody Wants This\u201d will return on October 23rd for its second season on Netflix. Starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the show will pick back up following Noah and Joanne\u2019s relationship. Adam Brody\u2019s wife, Leighton Meester, best known for her role as Blair in \u201cGossip Girl,\u201d will be a new addition to the cast for season 2. All ten episodes will drop at the same time, allowing for some serious binging this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
