In the past years, they’ve brought home some shiny hardware, winning the region championship in 2023 and 2024, and a state championship in 2023. This year, the team won their region again, bringing home the title with a final score of 14-12! Their success results from the girls fostering a supportive environment, and remaining disciplined, even with their screen time at home. “I have loved being a part of this team and will be so sad to leave it next year,” said Senior Lillis Davis. “I am so proud of everything we have done this season and my favorite part so far was definitely beating Lovett!” With an overall record of 6-6, the girls’ lacrosse team looks forward to playoffs.

On the boys’ lacrosse team, the players are also working hard, sporting a record of 6-6. The team has been challenged with some tough opponents, but the boys have stayed strong and continue to bond with each other, while urging towards success. “The bond the teammates have formed this year has made us closer than ever,” said Senior Benjamin Ganz. “While we have played well, we hope to continue to win in the playoffs.”

As for the track and field team, they’ve accomplished another amazing season so far! All of the players, both boys and girls, demonstrate an exceptional effort and commitment to the sport. The whole team works together to bring victories back to Pace. Showing a perfect display of teamwork, Kiyah Burrell, Katie Wrigley, Megan Wrigley, and Madison Williams all worked together to break Pace’s previous record for the 4×1. “I’m super proud of the progress and dedication everyone has made this year and I can’t wait to see how we do at state!” said junior Harriet Blaha.

Once again, the girls soccer team has had a wonderful season! With the season starting in early February, the girls have defeated ten other teams, and kept many of their opponents’ scores at zero. The team suffered four losses, majorly due to penalty kicks, but they persevered and achieved the title of region runner-up. “We have had an amazing season and fought really hard in all the games,” said Senior Harper Auchincloss. The girls are proud to continue on to playoffs, and look ahead towards a promising future.

With a stunning record of 9-2, the boys’ soccer team has also done very well. The team continues to amaze Knight Nation, especially like when they won the state championship in 2022. They have defeated every opponent since February, keeping most of their opponents’ scores at zero just like the girls’ soccer team. “We’ve done a very good job this season, we’ve had our ups and downs but we managed to qualify for the playoffs which is really cool,” said sophomore Rafael Bejar. “There’s a really good team bond within all of us, and I think that’s very exciting.” Coach Lucas Moreno is a big part of their accomplishments, keeping them hardworking, focused, and ultimately successful athletes.

The baseball team has done great this season, with eight wins and only five losses. They started off in February against some tough opponents, but stepped up to the plate, crushing almost every team in March. The players demonstrate what it means to be part of a team, supporting one another on the field during games and in practice. The seniors especially act as exceptional role models, creating a close-knit and supportive environment, as their teammates attest to. “The seniors help to set the standard and bring everyone up to that standard,” said sophomore Charlie Dobbie. “We all push each other and enjoy the process. I’m excited to see what the rest of the season has in store.” They didn’t win the region this year, but the baseball team is resilient, and the boys are on the way to do great in the playoffs.

Over on the golf course, Pace’s boys’ golf team has achieved a notable season. The boys placed second in their tournament at Raintree Country Club and sixteenth in their tournament at Atlanta National Golf Club. The Pace golfers love the sport and their team. “It was my first year playing golf at Pace, and it has been such a great experience,” said sophomore Charlie Moss. “I didn’t know many people on the team at the start of the season, but now the squad feels like a family.” The boys’ golf team is scheduled to play tournaments up until the end of the school year, so their classmates can cheer them on throughout the entire spring.

The girls’ golf team also did great, placing eleventh in their tournament in Jekyll Island. The team also attended a tournament at Chastain, where they played a scramble and did well. Just like the boys’ team, the girls are very fond of golf and their teammates. The coaches, Coach Kevin Ballard and Coach Libby Goldschmid, contribute greatly to the players’ enjoyable experience. “This golf season has been so much fun!” said Senior Lena Levings. “I love going to all the different courses and learning from Coach Ballard and Coach Libby.”

The gymnastics team impressed Pace once again this spring. Despite having only three members, the team has held a strong presence throughout five meets. The meets began in March, and the gymnasts are scheduled to compete in the Girl’s Varsity Tournament on April 23. The team’s small number has made the team closer than ever, as the three girls work together to represent Pace in the gymnastics world. “I love the gymnastics team this year, and even though we don’t have many people it’s really fun having a small team where we all relate to each other,” said freshman Lily Grabowski.

Both the boys’ and girls’ tennis team has done remarkably well this season, with very strong records of 8-2 (boys) and 7-2 (girls). Their success is looking to continue all the way to state! The tennis team also won their region tournament with a final score of 3-0. The players have confidence in themselves and their team and they have worked extremely hard to collectively bring home fifteen wins. “Our team feels like we’re working well together in order to win state,” said junior Brooks Gerhard

<img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="864" height="756"
