If you follow Apple’s iPhone closely, you may have seen the preview of iOS 7 that came out earlier this year. The new mobile OS comes with an entirely new interface that’s built to be simple, clean, modern and elegant. Some of the redesigned elements look strikingly similar to Google’s Android OS, but many Apple nerds welcome the influence.
Although the major improvements are to the interface, minor improvements abound in the new operating system. In the camera app, filters can be applied directly to your photos – no extra apps are needed. You can block people from texting you. There’s also the iCloud keychain for storing your passwords, a new way of organizing your photos, and a new control center for quick access to your favorite settings.
The iOS 7 update will be available for the the iPhone 4, 4S, and 5, the iPad 2 and the new iPad, and newest iPod Touch. It will be available to download on your computer or iDevice in the fall. Check out more info on Apple’s iOS 7 website.
