Mon casier — Locker Projects in French A

French A students have been learning about discussing the objects in a classroom, where the objects are located, and what things they have in their lockers.  They designed an imaginary locker and its contents to practice their vocabulary.

Comment vas-tu? Enquête

Each student was given a “smiley-type face” that indicated how they were feeling (Je vais bien, mal, pas mal…J’ai faim etc.). Then students went around the room asking each other “Comment vas-tu?”, listening for the answer, and then recording it on their answer sheet next to each student’s (and teacher’s) name.

French A students practiced higher numbers with a partner by completing a Dot-To-Dot activity. I had previously changed the numbers so they were out of order and included 3 digit numbers. Students had to listen the French numbers read by their partner (who had a key) to complete their puzzle correctly.

French A students reviewed for their quiz, practicing pronunciation and verb endings with a game of Navire de Guerre (Battleship).

Alphabet français — 6 stations

French A students reviewed the French alphabet and accent marks today, rotating through 6 different stations.  Given 2 or 3 letters/accents and a 30 second timer, they had to draw, sculpt or create the letters on their desks.

Stations: Draw in rice, White Boards, Ribbons, Pipe cleaners, Shaving Cream, and Clay
