Different modalities in Stations

French B students review for a quiz by working through different modalities (speaking, listening, reading, writing…plus some culture) in 3 different groups today.  Some students are correcting their own homework practice from a key I’ve given them and then doing a short reading about Provence and Marseille and comparing their own city in a chart,  a second group is reviewing vocab from this lesson (mettre le couvert) and mettre in the present tense with a game of Battleship, and the third group is reading a crazy place setting description while their partner draws and then switching roles.  Those finished the activity early practice asking and answering questions about their houses and meals by drawing cards from the bag at their station.

 

French A students also worked in stations to practice telling time and talking about the courses.  There stations included a grammar station, an interactive performance station where they worked with clocks, and a game station.

Honors French C students have had two days of stations, working on and presenting skits,completing some listening activities with a laptop station, practicing some speaking prompts, and reviewing vocabulary reflexive verbs in all tenses with the games of WAR and EIFFEL TOWER.

We all enjoyed a change of pace at the end of January!
